Training an animal is like teaching a human; here's what we mean.

As a preschooler it's the parents and the school teachers that are the trainers, as the child grows, his parents continue the teaching, but now he's also learning from his peers, his schoolmates, etc… as he enters college, he'll learn from his professors, as he gets his first job, it'll be his boss or co-worker that teaches him… do you see where I'm going with this… that person will always be learning something, what's changing is who is doing the teaching.

Additionally, all humans, like animals, will learn and progress at different rates — some will pick up faster than others, some will be better at focusing, while others easily distracted. So regardless of whether you are teaching a human or an animal, it's the 'trainers' responsibility to be sensitive to the temperament and personality, being both a psychologist and a motivator to help the 'pupil' understand and enjoy.

Our goal is to get you and your dog started on a path, a path which will ultimately make the time spent together much more enjoyable. So just because the 'class' is over doesn't mean the training stops, having a dog is a responsibility and commitment that needs to continue for the lifetime of the dog.
